At the center of each Space Key is a block made of a high-tech carbon fire composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of five images was shot by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.
Oefner employed an inflatable camera fitted with lenses to capture the individual images, which were then added to the final picture. The result is an out-of-this world photo that captures the beauty of the Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic look of the car rising away from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and location of the auction haven't yet been confirmed yet.
